Community involvement

Our school values strong partnerships with our families and community. Parents and carers can get involved through our Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) or by volunteering at our school. Your time and support help make our school a better place for everyone.

Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)

The P&C Association at Central Tilba Public School plays a vital role in fostering a strong partnership between families and the school community. Meeting regularly each term, the P&C provides a collaborative forum where parents, carers, and staff come together to discuss school initiatives, plan events, and explore fundraising opportunities.

Through their dedicated efforts, the association raises funds that directly enhance students’ educational experiences by supporting extracurricular activities, purchasing resources, and improving facilities.

Working closely with the Principal, the P&C helps identify the school’s most pressing needs, ensuring that contributions are targeted and impactful.

Above all, the association strives to build an inclusive and supportive community, welcoming all parents to participate and contribute their ideas and skills to enrich the school environment for every child.

Student Accident Insurance

Student Accident Insurance is paid annually by the P&C, this insurance is available to all enrolled students.  The P&C asks parents for a volutary contribution of $10 towards the cost for the 24/7 coverage.

Volunteer at our school

Helping out at school is a great way to get involved in your school community.

Volunteer opportunities include:

• helping in the kitchen or garden
• getting involved in the P&C
• listening to children read in the classroom
• volunteering on sports days and other school events
• helping supervise excursions.
