About our school

Central Tilba Public School, nestled majestically at the foot of Mount Dromedary (Gulaga), is a small school on the south coast of New South Wales that offers something different from its larger neighbouring schools. It is a school which thrives on the close interaction between parents, staff, students and the community. The school prides itself on its high quality music, art, performance, sporting and public speaking programs, and gains consistently excellent results in annual NAPLAN assessments.

Every child and their family are valued as important members of the school community, and the small numbers ensure individual attention. Achievements are regularly celebrated at well attended school assemblies, open days and annual presentation evenings.

The school is rich in tradition, the original building dating back to 1900, but focuses on the latest in computers and smartboards to ensure that students enter high school with well developed technology skills.

Children are taught to be inclusive and support their fellow pupils, and the school has a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere which permeates the classrooms and playground.
Central Tilba's unofficial motto is, "For a small school, we do BIG things!" It is a school with which staff, students and parents are proud to be associated.
